Describing a track
Myndlab Media Studio generates music from a text description using fal.ai models. No music theory needed: describe the feel, the instruments, and the tempo you want, and the models handle the rest.
text
Warm lo-fi hip-hop with mellow piano chords, soft vinyl crackle,
a relaxed boom-bap beat, mellow and focused — good for studying.
💡Tip.Name the use case at the end of the prompt (such as: for a video intro, or background for a store). That helps tune the intensity and structure to fit the purpose.
Genre & mood
The two strongest levers in any music prompt are genre and mood. Genre sets the basic musical language, while mood steers its emotional energy:
1
Genre
Lo-fi, cinematic, electronic, acoustic, or orchestral. Genre fixes the typical instruments and expected structure of the track.
2
Mood
Calm, epic, upbeat, tense, or dreamy. Mood shifts the overall feel without changing the genre.
3
Tempo & instruments
Add a tempo (slow, mid, fast) and a lead instrument (piano, guitar, strings) to push the result closer to your intent.
Setting duration
Set the track length before generating. Shorter clips generate faster and suit experimentation, while longer clips give a full structure with a beginning, middle, and end.
ℹNote.Start with a short clip to confirm the genre and mood. Once you are happy with the direction, generate the full version at the length you need.
Loop & extend
Two tools help you turn a short clip into something that fits your actual need:
1
Loop
Make the track repeat seamlessly without an audible seam — ideal for background music that needs to run indefinitely.
2
Extend
Lengthen an existing clip while keeping its genre and mood, instead of generating a brand-new track that may sound different.
Exporting
Once you are happy with a track, listen to it inside the studio to confirm, then export it or ship it into a project.
1
Download
Export the track as MP3 to use in any external tool. A copy remains in the asset library.
2
Ship to a project
Send the track straight into a Web App or Design project, where it becomes an audio asset ready to use.
Every track you generate stays in the asset library, so you can compare several runs and pick the best fit later without losing any result.
